Welcome to New Life Community Three-School
Socialization and school readiness skills are the focus of our three-school program. We provide a comprehensive, multi-sensory curriculum through periods of both free play and structured activities in an atmosphere of Christian love. A typical day for your child will include free play, circle time, daily devotion, story time, project, snack and outdoor play when the weather permits. Each week the children enjoy 30 minutes of "music and movement" instruction.
We invite you to come and take a tour of our facilities and meet the staff. To schedule a tour please call the school office at 631-589-8998 or contact Claudia Lyons at email@example.com.
Questions about the Three-School Program
Many parents have common concerns when searching for a three year old program. Here are some questions you may have:
What is the class size?
The maximum number of children in a three-school class is 13 with one Head Teacher and one Teacher Assistant.
Will I be informed of my child's progress throughout the year?
A written progress report will be sent home in January and June. Parent/teacher conferences are scheduled in February but are also available upon request at any time throughout the school year.
What academic concepts are incorporated in the three-school program?
Pre-reading and pre-math skills are incorporated in a variety of ways into each day’s lessons. Your child will create a project each day to share with your family. Fine motor skills are strengthened during free play and project time. Colors, shapes, problem solving skills and alphabet awareness are main components of the curriculum.
Does my child have to be toilet trained?
Yes, all children must be toilet trained. We do expect that accidents will happen. We ask that you send in a change of clothing for your child to keep at school so we can help him/her get cleaned up when necessary.
What are the teacher qualifications?
The Head Teacher is required to have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and a minimum of 3 years of age appropriate experience. All staff members are encouraged to further enhance their education by attending workshops and seminars each year. All of our staff members are CPR certified.
What choices do I have in scheduling?
Morning classes for September are offered from 9:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. either 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week. Flexible scheduling options are offered based upon availability. It is possible to change or add days as the year progresses provided there is availability.
Will snack be provided?
We provide juice and a nutritious snack for your child every day. We give thanks to God for our food, learn proper table manners and teach the children to clean up after themselves.
What special days or events take place during the year?
At New Life we like to break up the daily routine with many different special events and themes. We have several special visitors throughout the year including the local fire department and a dentist. We celebrate birthdays, autumn harvest, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and a Mother's Day Tea together. The children learn songs focusing on the Bible, holiday and fun-filled themes for the Christmas and Moving-Up programs. Parents and family members are invited to attend the Christmas and Moving-Up programs and enjoy refreshments afterwards.
What aspects of the Christian faith are included in the curriculum?
We believe that every child is a precious gift from God. We strive to share that belief with the children through an awareness of God's love reflected in Bible stories, daily devotions and music. We celebrate Christmas and Easter with the children in age appropriate lessons.
What if my child has difficulty separating?
Additional teacher assistants will be available to help the classroom teachers for the first few weeks of school to assist any children that may have difficulty separating.
