Q&A 1 of the Heidelberg Catechism is a deep well of grace. You can keep going back to it to get another dose of the Gospel. It is a tightly packed and beautifully statement of God’s grace toward us in his Son, Jesus Christ. It is well worth memorizing so that throughout the day its phrases and truths can strengthen our faith.

On our vacation a few weeks ago Patti, Lauren, and I watched our sons Mark and Daniel compete in a Half Ironman triathlon. It is a race combining 1.2 miles of swimming, then 56 miles of biking, and then 13.1 miles of running; a total of 70.3 miles.
